The newly launched Airtel 4G LTE network is slowly but surely expanding to different parts of the country. The Airtel 4G LTE was initially launched in Ibadan, before being extended to Lagos.
Now, Airtel has officially announced via its Twitter handle that 4G LTE has now been launched in Abuja. It is now live in Wuse2, Maitama, Garki, Asokoro. It's expected to expand to other parts of Abuja and Nigeria in general very soon.
To use the Airtel 4G LTE service, you will need an Airtel 4G SIM or you can just visit any nearest Airtel experience center to swap your old 3G sim for a 4G SIM with free 4GB data. You will also need a 4G enabled smartphone or Modem that supports Band 3 (1800MHz).
Hurry now to get your Airtel SIM card so that you can also enjoy the free data. To check your data balance, just dial *140#.
